For temperatures above +270°C, the best comparison calibrations use baths with a mixture of salts. LC550 Temperature Calibration Bath is specially designed to meet the requirements of working with a salt liquid.
The re-circulating flow of the LC550 guarantees no "dead" spaces minimizing temperature gradients, while the separate calibration chamber prevents direct radiation onto the probes from the control heater. A specially developed controller for the salt bath is supplied as standard, incorporating a safety cut-off at +605°C. A number of options are available to optimize the bath for use with PRTs, thermocouples or
glass thermometers.
