Fuse at the primary side (Commercial power source will be cut at the time of failure).
Thermal fuse is incorporated inside the power transformer.
(Excessive heating during the time of operating will be prevented).
Fuse inside the internal power circuit. (Circuit will be cut when
it fails).
Forced air cooling type (fan) has a temperature sensor inside.
(Operation stops when the fan becomes out of operation). (not EPJ-3505)

2. Specification

Over voltage Protection (OVP)
Over current Protection (OCP)
Over voltage prevention can be set at a range from 1 V to full scale as desired observing the front output voltmeter.
The output is turned off by SCR (only EPJ-3510/EPJ-3520), simultaneously input power is also turned off. Over current prevention can be set at a range from 0 to full scale as desired.
Over voltage/Over current can be set by PRESET-switch in a state of no load and no output voltage.
Response time is 50 µs (typical).

Over temperature Protection (OTP)

When the temperature of transformer and semiconductor becomes in a state of abnormally due to stoppage of cooling fan, malfunction of power supply etc., the input power its turned off.

Detectable temperature: 100°C for transistor and heatsink

130°C for transformer

Highly accurate programming for output voltage and current by external voltage

Remote programming capability of the output voltage and current is provided with accuracy approximately 0,1% by external voltage (0 – 10 V) since OP AMP precisely adjust circuit.

GB-IB-Interface EPJ-IF

The integrated GP-IB Interface corresponds to a 16 Bit analog/digital transformer (resolving power 1/65535) equipped with four Input or Output channels. Input Voltage und Current can adjusted and immediately read back in each case. The programmer has a list as well a talker function.
