The MAVO-SPOT is a very precise light measuring instrument attached to the MAVO-MONITOR provides precision measurements of the luminance with an angle of 1°.
This combined equipment permits measuring the luminance at a distance from 1 m to infinite, while taking into consideration the existing ambient light. That measuring distance can be reduced down to 34 cm when using close-up lenses, which are available as optional accessories.
The MAVO-SPOT is suitable for measuring at a distance, e.g. monitors, light contrasts at work stations, projection screens, street surfaces, lighting of street, airfield and sports areas and lighting in museums. It is specially suitable for checking the consistency of viewing monitors in the medical field. 
The instrument is color-corrected, i.e. the spectral response of the photo diode is adapted to that of the human eye V (l) according to DIN 5032/T7 Class B.

It allows the accurate measurement of the luminance in cd/m² or fL.
