Semi-standard PRTs are
typically made in stainless steel sheaths which are 6mm in diameter, and
have an Ro value of 100 ohms and an alpha [(R100-Ro)/Ro] of 0.00385. A
variety of configurations are available, since particular
characteristics might be required, such as short sensing length, fast
response, or applicability to a particular temperature range. Most of
our semi-standard PRTs have been made longer, and have a slightly wider
temperature range. They are all constructed with high quality 100 ohm
detectors, and are assembled and calibrated using fixed point cells
in-house in a NAMAS approved and supervised laboratory. These sensors
are ideal for a comparison reference sensor in industrial and secondary
laboratories.
