The unit is used to check cable for leakage before major down time is incurred by reading the micro amp corona around single or 3-phase wiring and on motors up close to the peckerhead. 
The unit is also excellent for checking splices for leakage.

The Ground Fault Detector Clamp On Current Leakage Detector is a great concept in preventative maintenance. 
As insulation ages, it’s insulating properties often deteriorate. 
Humidity and foreign matter aid in this deterioration. 
The current leakage detector will indicate ground faults and electrical leakage while the equipment is in operation. This saves considerable time in making leakage readings, as well as saving operating time.
