The Peak Hold Clamp-On Meter features a peak hold ability that allows the operator to obtain measurement in hard-to-observe places. It is reliable and easy to use. 
It maintains this reading and is designed to measure currents in AC lines without interrupting service. 
To read current, simply open clamp, place it around one conductor and then release the trigger. Measurements through nonmagnetic materials such as insulation, lead or brass conduit can be made with the same accuracy as though the conduit were bare.

Measurements in circuits enclosed in conduits with magnetic materials such as iron, steel, 
BX cables, etc., can be made by opening the nearest switch or junction box and placing the 
jaws around the conductor where it is unshielded by conduit. 
This unit is excellent for utilities or industrials where fast, accurate readings are required.

The unit can be attached to a hot stick with the use of an optional adapter. 
The unit comes complete in a sturdy, foam-lined carrying case.
