The Model 50132-G-01 Voltage Sensor is used to detect the presence of voltage or capacitance on overhead or underground cabling or on switch gear and MCC Panels. 
It is an excellent mistake-proof safety tester to check lines, bus bars, or capacitors before crews start to work.

Two degrees of sensitivity are offered by this unit, capacitance and direct line contact. 
The more sensitive range “Capacitance Test” will
produce a minimum scale deflection at 300 volts. 
This positive, no-mistake indication is produced
when the tester is applied directly to an exposed
bus or terminal. Contact with the capacitance test
point of a separable elbow connector carrying 25kV
will also produce scale deflection. Higher voltages will produce higher deflections. When the unit is placed on “Direct Line”, higher voltages can be checked; this will allow the STB Model 50132-G-01 to be applied
directly to potentials through 115kV.
This completely shielded tester reads only the
contacted test point; no stray fields will be indicated. 
The Model 50132-G-01 Voltage Sensor comes in a
sturdy foam-lined carrying case.
